One of the biggest challenges humanity currently faces is the large-scale pollution of our environment, and the unavoidable problems arising due to such fact. Therefore, there is a need to create systems that are able to address, minimise and prevent such problems occurring in the future, and by being not only environmentally friendly, but also serving the long term, sustainable growth, and overall well-being of humanity, and our planet.

The developers in the technological area are increasingly motivated by a desire to protect our remaining natural resources, and by witnessing the tendency for a gradual depletion of fossil fuel reserve, the developers are now actively working on creating specific equipment that are less harmful to our natural environment. As a result, humanity is now capable of converting solar energy into heat/electricity, wind energy into electricity, and various plant/animal substances into heat/electricity, via the use of highly specialised technologies.

THE DESIGN AND LICENSING OF SOLAR PANEL SYSTEMS

Similar to any other official licensing procedure, the licensing of solar panel systems can be a complicated and time-consuming process for anyone without adequate experience in dealing with administrative matters. We manage the entire official licensing procedure related to solar panel systems on behalf of our Clients, to remove this administrative burden.

Solar energy can be used to generate heat energy, or electricity. Solar energy is currently typically utilised via the following methods:

  • Use of thermal collectors, to convert solar energy into heat energy.
  • Use of solar panel modules, to convert solar energy into heat energy.

In Hungary, solar energy is typically utilised by energy systems based on photovoltaic modules, converting solar energy into electric power. Such systems can be classified into the following categories, based on their size and individual purpose:

HOUSEHOLD APPLICATION

SOLAR PANEL SYSTEMS USED BY HOUSEHOLDS

Private sector solar panel systems are utilised by private consumers, for the purposes of reducing the overall electricity consumption of their homes and holiday cottages. Such reduction in the electricity bills may occasionally mean that the electricity bill is reduced to zero. This can be achieved when the user uploads the electricity generated via the operation of its solar panel system into its own electricity supply system, and when the specific volume of energy generated such way exceeds the user’s simultaneous consumption levels, the excess amount will be automatically uploaded onto the large public electricity supply network. The user and the utility company have to carry out an annual reconciliation and financial settlement.

Solar panel systems can be installed in households, subject to an official license issued by the relevant electricity distribution licensing body.

BUSINESSES AND PUBLIC SECTOR INSTITUTIONS

INDUSTRIAL SOLAR PANEL SYSTEMS

The general purpose of installing industrial panel systems is to reduce the electricity consumption needs of various facilities run by particular businesses, or other institutional owners, taking into account the facility’s specific electricity consumption requirements, and particular user habits. The system owner and the utility company must carry out regular reconciliation and financial settlement (typically on a monthly basis), with regards to the energy being thus generated, and effectively used by the system owner, based on the specific underlying electricity trading agreement in place between the parties.

Small size power stations operating with solar panels, made for industrial use, can be installed subject to holding an official license issued by the relevant electricity distribution licensing body.

COMMERCIAL USE

SOLAR PANEL FARMS

The purpose of building solar panel farms is to sell the electricity thus generated for commercial purposes. In Hungary, up until now, typically smaller size solar panel power stations have been installed (due to certain legislative restrictions), with a nominal capacity of 0.5 MW each, however, some larger size solar panel farms also exist.


The installation of solar panel farms (or solar farms) is subject to obtaining an official installation license, while a separate license is needed to be obtained from the relevant electricity distribution licensing body, for linking the solar farm into the public electricity supply network.
